Key Responsibilities
Service Fufilment 24/7 operator, APAOCL

The position is set to deliver customer's cargo as promised by executing cargo load and discharge process as well as coordinating corresponding exception handling in cost efficiency way.

Responsible for running the Operation Cargo Execution activities as per end-to-end core container transportation process according to global and Local SOPS

Entry point and responsible for Cargo contingency within Geographical Scope and during the duty roaster along with internal and external stake-holders.

Manages all ETA communication to vessels within a specific area of

responsibility.

Plans and communicates short and long-term schedules to vessels and

other stakeholders.

Participates in contingency planning.

Plans and arranges for vessel bunkering.

Engage with vessel command and coordinate with all partners in the chain

(terminals, pilots and tugs) for minimization of CO2 emissions.

Uses frontline and terminal, fleet, and vessel command knowledge and

expertise to enhance processes and port optimisation.

Identifies and suggest continuous improvement possibilities in the ways

of working.

Identifies and executes cost reductions through the SmartOPS process

within the team.

Key responsibilities of a senior cargo operator:

  • Coordinate with multiple stakeholders to deliver end-to-end service with best customer experience.
  • Perform vessel load and discharge task upon global standard processes and monitor terminal operation progress.
  • Optimize cargo flow, manage international transhipment and monitor long layover transhipment.
  • Handle cargo related exceptional requests and cargo contingencies/incidents per global procedure and authority matrix.
  • Provide First-Time issue resolution.
  • Interact with the terminal high operational performance, through connection checks, optimistaion of release process and exceptional handling

Who We Are Looking For

  • A minimum of 1-3 years' experience in a shipping and/or supply chain/chemistry and Dangerous goods experience.
  • Fluent Mandarin Speaking and effective communication by English is a must.
  • This is 24x7 position, that involves shift work. The team runs on 3 shift set-up round the clock.
