What You Will Do
- Be the technical lead for dedicated projects, be involved in the definition of product development strategies for new RFQs, new Projects and/or VA/VE directions of running projects.
- Deeply involved in the interpretation of customer input (drawings, spec, CSR, etc.) and the translation of them into internal technical documentations (Feasibility Analysis, DFM, Drawing, BOM, Spec, etc.).
- Document product requirements based on customer input, including functionality, mechanical and electrical ratings, and agency requirements.
- Create 3D/2D of product designs and release them into systems acc. to Molex Product Development Procedures, 100% following design procedures & design guidelines.
- Participate in design reviews, design for manufacturing etc. to define product detailed design features.
- Create and review DFMEA for new designs, to deliver good designs for cost and quality.
- Create / Review bills of material for each design, and responsible for selecting and qualifying new materials.
- Complete product qualification / testing plan for new projects. Review & confirm testing reports to ensure sufficient items are tested to meet product specifications.
- Support Innovation Team on new materials / technologies qualifications for internal development and potential acquisitions.
- Participate in project meetings internally with team and externally with customers, to review project details.
- Provide product design proposals and component specifications to sourcing/suppliers for new component sourcing; Check components quotations to ensure correct inputs from suppliers and meet our requirements.
- Provide feedback & DFM on design proposals to customer/BDM on time, and professionally.
- Ensure design evidence (design review, quality check list, product spec, testing plan, testing report, etc.) to be well documented and updated properly.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering or Software Engineering
5 years experience in Product Electrical design, with an engineering degree.
Ability to perform engineering analysis & drive to root cause of electrical and mechanical related problems.
Able to communicate effectively in writing, one on one verbally, and/or in group meetings.
Experience in 2D & 3D of AutoCAD / ProE or NX.
Experience in Altium for PCBA/FPCA design.
English command (oral and written).
