Your role
We are looking for candidates to support a range of quant engineering workflows. You should have strong technical skills and a mindset for automation—whether your strengths lie in backend service development, dashboard engineering, or data tooling.
This role focuses on improving the automation of quant workflows and building visualization tools that enhance trader responsiveness and operational efficiency. You do not need to cover all areas listed below. Based on your experience—whether front-end or back-end—we will match you with responsibilities that align with your strengths.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automation services using Python and kdb+, streamlining quant project workflows and boosting operational efficiency.
- Build and manage dashboards using Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools to visualize key business metrics and reporting insights.
- Oversee service deployment pipelines, including GitLab CI/CD, release management, encrypted configuration, and certificate rotation.
- Collaborate with quant analysts and trading teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
Your team
You will be working in the Agency Algorithmic Trading Execution Quant team in Shanghai. We are responsible for providing best in class, award winning Execution Trading Algorithms, Smart Order Routing (SOR), Internalization and Direct Market Access for a global client base both internally and externally across Equities, Exchange Traded Derivatives (ETD) and FX asset classes.
Your expertise
- Proficiency in Linux and strong experience in Python or Java for backend service development. Familiarity with kdb+/q for time-series and financial data analysis is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent BI tools for data visualization. Front-end development skills in Python or JavaScript are advantageous.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities, with a keen understanding of business needs and the capability to deliver responsive technical solutions.
