Job Purpose
- To ensure the credit proposals are completed timely with high quality
- To work as a team with FIG RMs as well as the Credit approvers to closely monitor the credit profile of financial institutions in China
Key Accountabilities
To assist FIG RMs in terms of following areas during annual review and ad-hoc credit relevant work:
- Conducting thorough financial, qualitative, and risk analyses of FIs to accurately determine their current and future credit risk profiles
- Identifying, evaluating, and quantifying specific credit, market, liquidity, operational, and regulatory risks inherent in financial institutions
- Formulating and presenting clear, concise, and well-supported credit recommendations (e.g., credit limits, rating assignments, transaction approvals) to internal stakeholders and credit committees
- Producing detailed, structured, and timely credit memos, reports, and other necessary documentation that adhere to internal standards and regulatory requirements
- Continuously monitoring assigned FI portfolios for changes in financial health, market conditions, and regulatory environments, and proactively identifying early warning signals of credit deterioration
- Ensuring all analyses, recommendations, and processes comply with the organization's credit policies, risk appetite framework, and relevant financial regulations
- Clearly communicating credit opinions, risk assessments, and recommendations to internal stakeholders (e.g., relationship managers, sales teams, senior management) and collaborating effectively to achieve business objectives while managing risk
- Staying current with global financial markets, industry trends, macroeconomic developments, and regulatory changes impacting financial institutions
Experience
- At least 5 years of credit analysis experience
- Knowledge and skills in analyzing FI segments is a plus
- Good understanding of the market and economic dynamics that affect the China market
Education / Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor/Master degree with major in either Banking, Finance or Accounting
- Professional qualifications such as CPA/CFA/FRM is a plus

- Deep understanding of accounting principles (especially for financial institutions)
- Knowledge of FI industry, policies and financial regulations in China
- Knowledge of financial products
- Credit and Risk management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft software
Technical Competencies
- Computer skills, such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Power Point, etc
- Familiar with risk analysis tools for financial institutions
