Overview
The China Data & AI (D&AI) Product Management lead owns the end-to-end product life-cycle for Data, Analytics & AI solutions in China (≈ 80 % of time) while providing leadership for the underlying Global and Local Data & AI Platform components for China (≈ 20 %), closely partnering with global platforms team. The incumbent steers the China D&AI agenda so that it both accelerates local business value and stays fully aligned with PepsiCo's global D&AI strategy, architecture standards and operating model

Responsibilities
D&AI Product Management:

  • Build trusted partnerships with China Sector Leadership, S&T and functional stakeholders to co-shape a data-driven growth agenda.
  • Translate global D&AI strategy and programs into a China-specific product roadmap and OKRs; continuously prioritize the backlog for maximum business impact.
  • Orchestrate cross-functional squads through Ideation → MVP → Scale, ensuring on-time, on-budget and value-accretive delivery of data products, analytics solutions and AI use-cases.
  • Champion adoption of the Enterprise Data Foundation, canonical data models and global AI/ML standards within all China initiatives.
  • Enables global D&AI and Digital programs deployment in China
  • Drive change-management, data literacy and citizen-developer upskilling to embed AI-first culture.
  • Track product KPIs, real-world ROI and continuously optimize run costs and performance.
  • Represent China needs in the global D&AI forums; shares local learnings and influence worldwide roadmap.
  • Evaluate emerging Data & AI capabilities, partner with D&AI Solution architects and recommend pilots that unlock business value.

Platform Leadership (≈ 20 %)

  • Partners with the Global D&AI Platforms and Architecture teams to ensure China workloads are designed, deployed and operated in line with security, scalability and compliance requirements (China Cyber-Security Law, PIPL, etc.).
  • Guide the migration of legacy analytics assets to Global standards (Azure, Databricks)
  • Oversee performance tuning, cost management and incident resolution for China data-platform components.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering or Business; Master's preferred.
  • 10 + years in Data, Analytics or AI, including ≥ 5 years in Data & AI product-management leadership; exposure to CPG or fast-moving consumer-goods a plus.
  • 3 + years hands-on experience designing or operating cloud data/AI platforms on Azure (or AWS/GCP).
  • Demonstrated success delivering data-driven products that generated measurable commercial impact in China.
