MAIN PURPOSE
The Managing Director China is responsible for the development and performance of Chloé in China. In line with Chloé's global strategy, the successful candidate will accelerate business growth, brand visibility and desirability, build a strong retail driven culture and attract and develop local clientele.
She/He is the Maison's ambassador and represents Chloé with clients, partners and press. She/he will build a winning team and organization and partner efficiently with Maison headquarter and Richemont local support functions.
How You Will Make An Impact
- Commercial
Determine appropriate strategies for the sales & distribution of Chloé in China in line with the Maison's global strategy
Ensure maison is gaining market share and identify new opportunities to pursue brand elevation strategy
Create the annual and seasonal sales plan with full accountability for reaching its objectives across all channels
Establish KPI's and targets for the retail, wholesale and e-commerce
Develop a strong client portfolio and ensure highest level of service
Ensure Maison standards and policies are respected
Monitor and take actions in response to competitive activity

Set in line with headquarters a solid client strategy for each level of the client pyramid:
Explorer, through recruitment of new clients
Repeaters define strong clienteling campaign and develop appointment culture to build forever Chloe clients,
VIC recruit and curate this crucial segment to be 30% of the total business
- Marketing & Communication
Definition of the communication strategy and supervision of its operational implementation
Develop a solid client activation and retail animation program in line with defined budget and resources
Ensure proper visual merchandising guidelines' implementation as per brand guidelines
Representation of the brand during press, PR and events

Build solid buying strategy in collaboration with the HQ team and in line with market needs
Keep sell through efficiency top of mind and bet on business potential

Participate in recruiting, hiring, onboarding and developing team members for long term success and positive contribution to the Maison development
Conduct annual appraisals, set quantitative & qualitative KPIs
Demonstrate leadership and grow people engagement
Define development plans

Directly responsible for the local brand P&L
Prepare seasonal and annual budgets and forecast according to brand and Richemont guidelines
Prepare updates as needed and keep brand appraised of sales in the region and significant
market trends
Accountable for the A/R follow-up and clearance
Manage retail leases and retail operating costs
About You
Education: Master's degree in management or business administration
Required experience: 10 years in the luxury fashion industry; P&L responsibility in a retail and omnichannel environment
Skills
Deep understanding of the Chinese market
Entrepreneurial and client oriented, capability to identify business opportunities
Strategic mindset capable of initiating and leading transformation
Caring and demanding leader
Excellent communication skills and use to work in a matrix organisation
Strong fashion flair, affinity for luxury
Languages: Chinese and English. French is appreciated
