Job Summary
Primary Function
Provides Field Evaluation Services (Special Inspection and US Field Evaluation) services to clients in any part of the world. Under general direction, provides Field Evaluation services for clients from the application review stage to the point at which the product is labelled and beyond. Holds projects and conducts on-site evaluations and testing of electrical/electronic products under Field Evaluation guidelines. Witnesses tests at factory locations.

Preferred Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related Sciences or 3 years industry related experience; Engineering Technology or Associates Degree with related experience; or a Journeyman Electrician with 3 years industry related experience; or related technical field with 5+ years industry related experience
  • Certification/Lab/field testing experience preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and changing schedules and deadlines with supervision
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and test data as required to complete assigned duties
  • Strong interpersonal skills; self-starter; good decision-making skills, communication and organizational skills
  • Strong conflict resolution skills to be able to handle difficult situations
  • Computer skills (word processing, e-mail)
  • Usage of calibrated measurement instruments, high voltage test equipment, hand tools
