Directs the activities of teams/shifts of production workers across different shifts/and or work areas so that the established production targets, including volume, cost, safety and quality measures are met. Determines manufacturing priorities based on established weekly/monthly production schedules. Leads a large team directly and indirectly, which include operators and technicians. Operations are of mid-level complexity (e.g. higher technology/additional lines), normally requiring some more complex machine set-ups.

Job Purpose
To implement the operations continuous improvement activities through project management, training, coordination, coaching and internal consultancy and advisory.

Living the Lean principles, act as a specialist to deliver consistent sustainable improvement activity within the plant, in line with JM global standard.

Principle Accountabilities

  • JMPS enabler
  • Supporting JMPS Manager for necessary coordination & development of Site JMPS Roadmap
  • Support JMPS Manager in developing Site level JMPS Deployment plan
  • Support JMPS Manager, Cell leaders in JMPS Deployment as per Deployment plan.
  • Coordinate & manage cell activities for JMPS Deployment, monitoring performance toward agreed target of the cell.
  • Push and implement MANEX (Manufacturing Excellence)
  • Acts as a role model for the problem-solving development.
  • Supports and lead focused improvement and optimization projects/initiatives covering Safety, Quality, Delivery, Engagement and Cost
  • Supporting site functions/ areas in problem solving improvement
  • Conducts training in continuous improvement methodologies and coaches' others in the application of these methods.
  • Digitalization
  • Acts as a role model for the problem-solving development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or above and major in industrial engineering
  • More than 3 years for manufacturing excellence or CI project management
  • Familiar with TPM, 5S, QCO, APQP, IATF16949 or ISO QA system
  • In-depth understanding of Processes, Quality, and Safety, Cost.Proficient in all stages of project management: initiation, planning, execution, control, and closure
  • Familiarity with cost management methodologies such as target costing and value engineering
  • Good coaching skills to support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Able to develop systematic improvement plans and effectively implement them with lean tools.
