What will you do?
- Draft and review contracts that comply with local laws across Thailand/ Indonesia/ Mexico/ Pakistan/ Philippines
- Developing standardized templates can help streamline operations and ensure consistency in contractual agreements across different regions
- Providing advice on a wide range of legal issues, from employment law to intellectual property rights, is essential for risk management and compliance
- Involve complex legal processes, and the role requires expertise in due diligence, negotiation, and post-merger integration
- Designing structures that not only comply with legal requirements but also align with business objectives is a key aspect of this role
- Ensuring that the company's governance practices are in line with legal standards and that all necessary filings are made to maintain legal operations
- Selecting and managing relationships with external legal providers is crucial for handling specialized legal issues like intellectual property and litigation
- Staying abreast of changes in laws and regulations is essential for providing timely and relevant legal advice and training
What does a successful candidate look like?
- Bachelor's degree in Law or above (focus on Civil/Commercial Law or International Business Law preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in cross-border legal practice (law firm or multinational corporate legal department), with preference for candidates familiar with internet, fintech, or financial industry frameworks
- Possession of overseas legal qualifications (e.g., U.S. BAR, UK SRA)
- Familiarity with emerging compliance areas: data privacy (GDPR/CCPA), antitrust, cross-border payments, etc.
