该职位来源于猎聘 Scania is launching its third industrial hub in Asia, including a production facility in Rugao China and an R&D center there to develop new products tailored to local market needs. Chassis compressed air team are responsible for developing, testing and verifying new brake systems for our trucks.
Responsibilities
As a senior engineer of Wheel Equipment team you will be the responsible for driving the future of our core components as:
1 - Wheel Brake development (Caliper, Chamber, Fittings, Electro-Mechanical (EMB)) taking part on cross functional groups contributing to the complete Brake System as well (interface with the truck ECU, EBS, Routines & Parameters);
2 – Tires & Rims = Thinking out of the box to bring market insights and supplier researching on Tires and Wheels for BEV trucks with benefit on reducing Rolling Resistance, NVH.
Key responsibilities
- Lead Wheel Equipment development in order to ensure world-class quality either on current brakes technology EBS and new technologies for BEV trucks as the EMB concept. Support new tires development bringing insights on how chinese market is looking for BEV tires;
- Act as leader showing by actions how to keep team motivated and seeking for keep growing;
- Clear communication within the team and with cross functional groups;
- Have good knowledge and understanding of Regulations (Global & Chinese).
Strategy development
- Develop a strategy to enter and to lead technology at Chinese market in time and in a cost-efficient way;
- Develop a strategy for how to continuously create value for our customers after the market introduction;
- People and team management: Jointly be responsible for building up world class innovation R&D group, by competence development, people management and coaching.
Operational
- Lead the design and development of Wheel Equipment components;
- Collaborate with cross functional team as Chassis, Cabin and E.E to ensure all the performances integration within Brakes, TPMS;
- Conduct technical feasibility studies using CAD/CAE tools (CATIA, ANSYS);
- Drive innovation (e.g. EMB, BEV tires) to support Scania's innovation roadmap;
- Support generation of technical documents (Drawings, Technical Reports, DFMEA, BOMs);
- Support Rig & Prototype testing, certification, and production ramp-up.
Qualifications
- 8 years in brake engineering, with at least 3 years Vehicle development experience in China;
- Tires & Wheels experience is nice to have;
- People management and development experience in R&D;
- Automotive (CV, heavy and light, passenger car);
- International Experience: Comfortable working across cultures and geographies especially Sweden, Germany, Brazil and China.
Tasks Could Include
- Build understanding and knowledge of our brake system and how we can further develop it in the future;
- Have a clear picture of the intended brake performance and have capability to judge it;
- Have continuous dialogue with current and potential suppliers;
- Create and maintain forums with relevant cross-functions, both in the company and in the company group;
- Investigate and keep updated knowledge regarding legal requirements in the subject;
- Understand how changes on component level will affect the brake performance of the truck and be able to analyze and quantify it;
- Plan and perform component testing in order to ensure optimal performance of our brake system.
