Job Description:
We are hiring a program/team leader who are responsible for carrying out preclinical translational research to advance internal discovery projects to clinical trials.
- Lead translational studies to drive programs towards clinic.
- Identify key translational questions for given programs and design translational studies to address them.
- Design and supervise in vitro and in vivo experiments to understand mechanism of action, indications expansion, drug combinations and resistant mechanisms.
- Lead translational studies to provide data-based biomarker and indication selection strategies.
- Work together with clinical biomarker team to establish and validate biomarker assays to support clinical trials.
- Carry out in-depth investigation of potential drug targets for new project proposals.
- Manage junior PhD investigators and Master-level research scientists.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. in biology, molecular and cellular biology, cancer biology, immuno-oncology, or related field. Research experience in hematological malignancy is preferred.
- 6+ years of work experience after PhD degree, preferably in a pharmaceutical industry setting.
- Experience in leading preclinical drug discovery projects is a big plus.
- Demonstrated deep scientific understanding of cancer biology, as evidenced in publications in high impact journals, inventions, and patents.
- Self-motivated and ability to independently lead programs
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with peers across multiple areas.
- Excellent English writing and speaking skills at working professional levels.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communicational skills.
