The Data and AI Leader is responsible for directing the development and implementation of the data science and AI strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and market trends. The role involves overseeing capability assessments and resource allocation, managing vendor relationships, and evaluating emerging technologies. The role coordinates with stakeholders across the product lifecycle, drives cross-functional projects to enhance business success and innovation. Job Responsibilities:
• Directs the development and implementation of the data science and AI strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, market trends, and emerging technologies to drive innovation and competitive advantage.
• Oversees capability and maturity assessments of data science and AI initiatives, identifying measures and actions to enhance effectiveness, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
• Manages resource allocation and budgeting cycles, effectively managing resources and overseeing vendor relationships to ensure optimal utilization and alignment with project objectives.
• Evaluates emerging technologies, open-source libraries, and big data platforms, assessing their suitability and potential impact on AI initiatives, and recommending adoption strategies.
• Coordinates interfaces with key stakeholders across the product lifecycle, ensuring alignment of AI initiatives with business objectives, optimizing deployment strategies, and enhancing consumer experience.
• Directs cross-functional projects and initiatives, acting as a line manager within own domain, shaping development practices, technologies, and strategies to drive business success and innovation.
• Develops data transformation, acquisition, and governance strategies aligned with business and company strategy, ensuring data availability, quality, integrity, and support for informed decision-making.
• Drives strategic projects and initiatives to address business needs, collaborating with stakeholders to define objectives, scope, and deliverables, and overseeing project execution to ensure successful outcomes and value creation.
• Represents the organization in industry forums, conferences, and events, advocating for the company's data and AI interests, fostering partnerships, and promoting thought leadership and innovation.
• Leads succession planning and comprehensive talent management, driving employee selection, performance management, compensation management, and career development in alignment with organizational operational goals.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
Education:
• Bachelor's / Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Data Science, Econometrics, Artificial Intelligence, Applied Mathematics, Statistics or equivalent. Experience:
• Minimum 8 years of experience with Bachelor's OR Minimum 6 years of experience with Master's in areas such as Data Handling, Data Analytics, AI Modeling or equivalent. Experience:
