About the Role
Lead the supply chain and quality program for our garment and accessory lines across Asia.
Responsibilities
- Strategic
- Define the Asia supply-chain strategy for garments & accessories to support product, commercial, and growth objectives.
- Develop a multi-year supplier roadmap (capacity, capability, risk, diversification) aligned with product and SKU plans.
- Build and institutionalize a Supplier Quality Management System (SQMS), including supplier onboarding, risk scoring, audit cadence, corrective actions, capability development, and performance scorecards.
- Sourcing & Supplier Management
- Act as the internal supply-chain partner to Product, Merchandising, and Design teams in Brazil and Asia.
- Source, evaluate, and qualify suppliers, managing capacity allocations across origins in Asia.
- Maintain and strengthen strategic supplier relationships; lead quarterly business reviews and supplier development plans.
- Ensure supplier compliance with social, environmental, and regulatory requirements in all sourcing countries.
- Quality Management
- Train the supply-chain according to the company quality standards, inspection criteria (AQL), test plans, and acceptance rules across raw materials, production process, pre-shipment, and final inspections.
- Implement supplier quality scorecards, root-cause analysis (8D/PDCA), CAPA ownership, and continuous improvement programs.
- Oversee QE/QC team members and external QC partners to ensure consistent product quality and compliance.
- Data & Systems
- Build and maintain supply-chain KPIs and dashboards (OTD, sales return rates, defect rates, inspection pass/fail rates).
- Use data analytics and forecasting tools to generate insights that optimize the supply chain and corporate purchase volumes.
- Lead ERP/MRP and supplier portal initiatives for improved integration and visibility across functions.
- Leadership & People Management
- Coach and develop a high-performing supply-chain and quality team; set objectives, conduct reviews, and build succession pipelines.
- Drive change management and operational excellence through Lean/Six Sigma projects, standard operating procedures, and training programs.
Qualifications
- 6–10+ years of proven experience in supply-chain and supplier quality roles within apparel, garment, or accessory manufacturing, with at least 3 years managing regional Asia supply bases (China, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Cambodia, etc.).
- Strong competency in data analytics — advanced Excel, SQL, Power BI/Tableau (or equivalent) — with demonstrated ability to translate insights into business action.
- Hands-on experience with garment quality systems (AQL, pre-shipment inspection, lab testing) and supplier audits.
- Excellent negotiation and supplier-relationship skills.
- Demonstrated people management and leadership experience, including oversight of remote or field-based teams.
Required Skills
- English — mandatory (business fluent).
- Mandarin — highly desirable / a strong plus
- Role based in Shanghai, with regular travel within Asia.
