Learning and Development Manager

The Learning & Development Manager will lead the professional team to develop the organizational development capabilities of the Human Resources Department of Shanghai Disney Resort, manage the organizational development program, and lead the digital transformation of the Learning & Development Department to achieve the organizational strategy of Shanghai Disney Resort. Main responsibilities include establishing the organizational development theory, framework and toolbox for the Human Resources team in Shanghai Disney Resort, developing organizational development consulting skill for the related Human Resources Cast Members. This person will also be responsible for management and operation of the company's organizational development projects, establishing the digitalization capability of learning & development department and developing the digital learning platform development. He or she will also manage the regular operations of the learning and development team and participate in the other projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership
- Effectively arrange people resources and related processes to feed the needs of Disney University and monitor the progress of the team to achieve the designed objectives within timeline.
- Providing coaching to subordinates and help them to develop, improve the overall capabilities of the team members and establish high performing team with positivity.
Organizational Development Capability Build up
- Remain close interaction with the Segment Organizational Development team, learn relate experience and leverage their resources to build the organizational development capability in Shanghai Disney Resort
- Build up the theory, framework and toolbox of organizational development
- Provide suggestion to the core management team of Human Resources team on Cast Members' development and help to define the development plan
- Organize the related Human Resources Cast Members to learn organizational development theory and the toolbox
- Focus on the development trend of the organizational development field and share the most updated trend and theory with the Human Resources team
Management and Operations of Organizational Development Projects
- Take charge of the overall management and monitor the progress of all the organizational development related projects in the Company, will check in with the project owner to understand the progress, and report the status and resources needed to the core management team of Human Resources.
- Prove support to the project team through providing suggestions and related toolbox/resources
- Lead or participate in organizational development project, provide diagnosis and consultation service.
- Conduct review and reflection session for the organizational development projects; build up the database through collaboration with the project owners.
Digitalization Capability Build-up and Digitalized Learning Platform Development
- Establish the digitalization learning capability for the Learning and Development team, including but not limited to e-learning development, blended learning program development, e-learning project management and operation, effectiveness evaluation of e-learning project
- Collaborate with the vendor and related departments across the Company to establish digitalized learning platform
- Assist the team members in the Learning and Development team to transfer current courses into e-learning modules and blended learning programs
- Provide consultation to other departments who have needs to build up the e-learning content
Management of Culture and Learning Development Project
- Act as project manager or core team member of the project team to define strategy, objective, development roadmap and resources needed
- Collaborate with partners across different departments to assign task, solve problems to ensure the goal to be achieved
- Define the communication strategy, leverage various communication channels and approach of storytelling to promote related concepts and key information
- Manage complex working relationship, to notify key stakeholders the project progress timely
- Define success matrix to measure the effectiveness of the project
Operation Management of the Learning and Development team
- Manage the team to establish the operations process and rules
- Oversee the sourcing and budget management of Disney University
- Lead the team to manage the training coordination, project support and other administrative work
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and above
- At least 8-10 years of progressive experience in culture building, training, learning and development, organizational development, and/or team development.
- Have related experience in organizational development project and have related knowledge
- Passionate about Disney Brand and its culture, willing to devote yourself into promoting Disney Brand and spirit
- Able to proactively collaborate with others
- Ability to be flexible and working in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong project management skills and have related experience to manage complex projects.
- Understanding and experience applying a variety of development approaches that span formal training, relationship-based, and experience-based development model of development).
- Ability to facilitate assigned content and agendas, adapting approach and style to a variety of audiences
