- Manage and coordinate with the members of local leadership sites and QH services.
- Responsible for the EHS policies, and procedures implementation at the new QH Zhangjiagang site.
- Engage with office and lab teams based in Zhangjiagang site to promote and elevate our EHS standards.
- Serves as the focal point for implementation of the corporate EHS programs and EHS management systems, e.g. DevonWay.
- Provides support of appropriate medical and industrial hygiene related policies and programs.
- Maintain ISO14001:2015 and ISO45001:2018 certification, and support implementation of the Company's EHS management system at the new Zhangjiagang site.
- Serve as a technical expert to implement the Corporate EHS eLearning system, e.g. DSS+.
- Work closely with the APAC EHS Director, local/regional Engineering, site operations and the external insurance firms to effectively manage loss prevention.
- Coordinate with and educate Operations/Engineering personnel on Process Safety programs such as Process Hazards Analysis, Pre-startup Safety Reviews, and MOC process.
- Supervise EHS consultants and contractors hired to perform EHS services such as EHS legal compliance audit, samples collection, noise measurements, air emissions, industrial hygiene testing, fit testing, etc.
- Interact with regulatory agencies during compliance inspections. Responds to written correspondences and inquiries from outside regulatory agencies. Coordinate with regulatory agencies, local authorities, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with EHS regulations and standards.
- Analyze and interpret regulatory requirements, annual reporting and environmental permit conditions that apply to QH's operations (manufacturing locations and chemical management activities) and work closely with plant management to address EHS requirements and concerns.
- Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards.
- Conduct regular EHS audits and inspections to identify potential hazards, ensure compliance, and drive continuous improvement.
- Lead incident investigation to determine root causes and develop corrective and preventive actions.
- Collaborate with management and employees to promote employee engagement programs, and establish a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
- Manage EHS training programs for employees, contractors, and visitors to ensure awareness and understanding of EHS requirements and best practices.
- Monitor and report on EHS performance, including key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics, to senior management.
- Oversee the management of hazardous materials and waste, ensuring proper storage, handling, and disposal.
- Maintain emergency response plan and procedures to effectively manage potential EHS incidents. Serve as a technical resource in the coordination of emergency preparedness on the site.
- Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices to ensure company's EHS programs are up-to-date and effective.
- Lead and participate in EHS committee meetings and other relevant workshops.
- Work closely on sustainability projects and update the sustainability data on a monthly base.
- Perform or coordinate internal and external audits, tests & inspections to ensure EHS standards and regulations are met.
- Travel within China to support toll manufacturing sites, approximately 5% travel
岗位要求:
- Relevant EHS Legal and compliance knowledge.
- At least 10 years experience in the environmental, health and safety management with a strong focus on occupational health and safety required. At least 5 years working experience in a manufacturing environment as an EHS professional required. Preferable in the chemical industry.
- Advance certification, additional specialized safety and environment education and/or equivalent work experience desired. National certified safety engineer required.
- Solid technical and regulatory expertise in relevant health and safety and environment regulatory requirements as well as knowledge of implementation of applicable ISO standards including but not limited to ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, etc.
- Solid technical and regulatory expertise in relevant regional and national product safety/stewardship regulatory requirements and associated management systems and programs.
- Knowledge in Process Safety and risk management best practices.
- Best practices related to unsafe conditions and at-risk behaviors.
- Incident investigation, root cause analysis and corrective action management
- Able to develop, organize, coordinate and perform training sessions.
- English language skills; written and spoken.
- Excellent communication skills to work within all levels.
- Strong team player, problem solving skills, and passionate about delivering results.
