We are seeking a talented individual to join our Career Products team at Mercer Career Business. This role will be based in Beijing. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

This position is responsible for managing the business with a focus on generating sales and revenue for a cluster of industries, increasing utilization of resources, ensuring timely collections in the area of Rewards and Benefits benchmarking in the country. This involves proactively engaging with key clients (existing and prospective) to identify opportunities and form long-term sustainable relationships with them

We will count on you to:

  • Be the owner of industry/location products. Leads operations within the assigned industry/location and the related products.
  • Achieve customer satisfaction by ensuring high quality delivery by the project team.
  • Design training content and deliver complex training to clients.
  • Using experience and expertise in the industry/ location, initiate and develops new products in response to potential opportunities in the market.
  • Seek out market opportunities and lead business development activities in the emerging/potential business opportunities. Establish connections and maintain strong relationships with the appropriate client contacts (usually HR/ C&B Directors). Achieve business/revenue targets. Manage multiple consulting / BD projects and products.
  • Provide mentoring/ coaching to less experienced consultants. Provide input to performance appraisals. More experienced incumbents may have people management responsibilities.

What you need to have:

  • Bachelor degree in a relevant discipline. Master's degree preferable.
  • 12+ years working experience in HR related field or 10+ years of HR consulting experience
  • Sound client focus underpinned by strong C&B professional knowledge
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work proactively/motivationally as an independent contributor and as part of a broader team
  • Proven interpersonal skills and ability to build successful business relationships with people at all levels
  • Highly organized and efficient project management skills
  • Solid computer skills, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Willingness to travel to different cities
