Overview
An exciting leadership opportunity is available for an experienced bioconjugation expert to head a high-performing conjugation group. This role will oversee daily operations, guide innovative development of antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs), and contribute to advancing novel conjugation technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and daily management of the bioconjugation department.
- Define and execute project work plans while coordinating with cross-functional teams.
- Lead training, mentorship, and performance development of technical staff.
- Drive process development of ADCs and novel conjugation platforms.
- Conduct manufacturability assessments to support early-stage client needs.
- Partner with business development teams as a subject matter expert (SME).
- Troubleshoot complex conjugation challenges beyond standard platform design spaces.
- Draft and review technology transfer documents, development reports, and CMC sections.
- Collaborate with adjacent groups (Analytical Development, QC, QA, Manufacturing) on method development and validation.
Qualifications
- PhD in Organic Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Synthesis, Biology, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of direct experience in downstream process development, including antibody purification and conjugation.
- At least 5 years of proven leadership experience managing scientific teams.
- Familiarity with regulatory filings and related documentation is highly desirable.
- Hands-on experience with toxins and antibody-drug conjugates.
- Working knowledge of small molecule registration, shipment, and declaration processes.
- Fluency in Mandarin and English
