Position Summary
The Quality Manager is responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining Tongling Site's quality management strategy. This role ensures that all products, processes, and services adhere to internal standards, customer requirements, and regulatory compliance, driving a culture of continuous improvement to enhance product reliability, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.

Position Responsibilities

  • Quality Management System (QMS) Leadership

  • Design, implement, and maintain robust QMS frameworks aligned with international standards (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF and industry-specific regulations.

  • Conduct regular internal audits, management reviews, and gap analyses to ensure QMS effectiveness, addressing non-conformities and driving system improvements.
  • Oversee the development, revision, and distribution of quality documentation (e.g., procedures, work instructions, quality plans) to ensure clarity and compliance across departments.

  • Process & Product Quality Control

  • Develop and enforce quality control plans for all stages of the product lifecycle, from raw material procurement to final delivery.

  • Monitor production processes using statistical tools (e.g. FMEA, PPAP) to identify variability, root causes of defects, and opportunities for optimization.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and R&D teams to integrate quality requirements into new product development (NPD) and process design, ensuring manufacturability and compliance.

  • Supplier Quality Management

  • Establish supplier quality criteria, conduct supplier audits, and manage supplier performance to ensure inbound materials and components meet quality standards.

  • Resolve supplier-related quality issues through corrective action plans (CAPA) and collaborative problem-solving, reducing supply chain risks.
  • Develop and maintain a qualified supplier list, driving continuous improvement in supplier quality and reliability.

  • Customer Satisfaction & Complaint Resolution

  • Lead the investigation and resolution of customer quality complaints, ensuring timely responses and effective corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

  • Analyze customer feedback and quality metrics (e.g., return rates, warranty claims) to identify trends and drive improvements in product design or service delivery.
  • Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to align quality objectives with customer expectations, enhancing long-term relationships.

  • Team Management & Quality Culture

  • Recruit, train, mentor, and manage a team of quality professionals (e.g., quality engineers, inspectors), setting clear performance goals and fostering professional development.

  • Develop and deliver quality awareness training across the organization to embed a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Report key quality metrics (e.g., PPM, audit results) to management team , providing insights and recommendations for strategic decision-making.

  • Continuous Improvement Initiatives

  • Lead cross-functional improvement projects using methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean, or Kaizen to reduce waste, improve process efficiency, and lower quality costs.

  • Track and report on the impact of improvement initiatives, ensuring measurable outcomes (e.g., reduced defects, cost savings, cycle time reduction).

Position Requirements

  • Education and Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial), Quality Management, or a related field. A Master's degree (e.g., MBA, MSc in Quality Engineering) is preferred.

  • Professional certifications such as ASQ Certified Quality Manager (CQM), Six Sigma Black Belt, or ISO 9001 Lead Auditor are highly desirable.

  • Experience

  • Minimum of 7–10 years of experience in quality management, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role, preferably in manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, medical devices, or a regulated industry.

  • Proven track record in managing QMS implementation, audits, and certification (e.g., ISO standards).
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams, resolving complex quality issues, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of quality management principles, tools, and methodologies (e.g., FMEA, SPC, MSA, 8D, Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen).

  • Strong understanding of relevant industry regulations and standards (e.g., FDA, ISO, IATF) and their application in daily operations.
  • Excellent leadership, team management, and mentoring skills, with the ability to inspire a culture of quality.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities, with a focus on root cause resolution.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior management, cross-functional teams, customers, and suppliers.
  • Proficiency in quality management software (e.g., QMS platforms, ERP systems) and data analysis tools (e.g., Minitab, Excel, Tableau).
