Your Key Responsibilities
- Development of mechanical or electromechanical concepts within Mild Hybrid Filed (Inverter/Motor/DCDC/PDU/BMS), driven by functional, material, economic, and production technologies related targets
- Support with the requirements assessment and installation space analysis, also in direct communication with customers
- ME concept definition considering customer requirements, platform modules and standardised functional elements. Evaluation of concepts or drafts including decision matrices.
- Definition of the production technologies and manufacturing flow in cooperation with operations. Be familiar with Molding/Die-casting/Porosity/Press fit/Leakage/Brazing/Laser welding/Resistance welding/Thermal or Conductive transmission
- Combine 3D models of single components and assemblies with CREO
- Control and verification of design configuration (tolerance calculation, thermal und structural simulations, insulation coordination)
- Support of the DFMEA creation and maintenance
- Coordination of entire mechanical product documentation (drawings, specifications, bill of materials)
- Assure CAD data quality (2d and 3d) including WISE compatibility
- Support in the technical evaluation of change management.
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a comparable/relevant field of study.
- 5 years of professional experience in the mechanical / mechatronic development / supplier development in Automotive Industry required
- Good CAD knowledge with Creo and PDM system WISE (Windchill), knowledge of FMEA methodology.
- Good knowledge of drawing creation and tolerance methodology. Knowledge of the ME development process in automotive area is required.
- Good written and spoken English knowledge (Japanese as 2nd language will be good)
- Experience in DCDC/BMS/PDU/Inverter will be good
