Position Overview

The
Head of Retail
will be the end-to-end owner of the company's global retail business — responsible for strategy, growth, and brand experience across all physical retail channels. This role carries full
P&L accountability
for the retail division and plays a pivotal role in scaling the brand's international footprint, particularly in the
US and European markets
.

Key Responsibilities

1. Global Retail Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and execute the
    global retail roadmap
    , focusing on the US as a priority growth market.
  • Define store expansion pace, location strategy, and investment models aligned with brand positioning (premium / accessible luxury).
  • Design and implement innovative
    "Retail + Experience"
    concepts that transform stores into brand activation and engagement hubs.
  • Balance brand image, store quality, and operational cost efficiency
    .

2. Store Development & Expansion

  • Lead the full store development cycle:
    real estate sourcing, lease negotiation, store design, construction, and launch
    .
  • Establish a
    data-driven site evaluation framework
    to identify high-traffic, high-ROI locations.
  • Build strategic partnerships with landlords and commercial developers, securing competitive terms and support.
  • Drive expansion efficiency — targeting scalable, high-quality growth beyond the current store base.

3. Retail Operations & Performance Management

  • Build a
    standardized retail operation system (SOP)
    covering VM (Visual Merchandising), customer service, and staff training.
  • Oversee daily operations and optimize key business metrics such as sales per square foot, conversion, footfall, and repeat purchase rate.
  • Lead and develop cross-functional teams in
    Store Development, Retail Operations, and Store Design
    with clear accountability and KPIs.
  • Continuously analyze data to refine retail strategies, ensuring the retail channel contribution toward revenue.

Qualifications & Experience

1. Professional Background

  • 8+ years in retail management, with at least 3 years in a
    Head of Retail / Retail Director
    or equivalent leadership role.
  • Proven success in
    retail expansion
    within the US or European markets
  • Experience in
    premium / lifestyle / consumer brands
    preferred; exposure to omnichannel (offline + eCommerce) models a strong plus.
  • Solid understanding of global retail ecosystems, local regulatory environments, and customer experience trends.

2. Core Competencies

  • Strategic Thinking:
    Able to design and implement scalable retail strategies balancing rapid growth and sustainable profitability.
  • Resource Integration:
    Extensive retail network and resources — across real estate, construction, operations, and retail talent pools.
  • Financial Acumen:
    Strong command of cost control and ROI optimization across the store lifecycle.
  • Leadership:
    Exceptional team-building and people leadership skills with experience managing cross-regional, multicultural teams.

3. Additional Requirements

  • Proficient in
    English
    (written and spoken);
    Cantonese or Mandarin
    proficiency is a plus.
  • Passionate, execution-oriented, and comfortable with global travel and cross-time-zone collaboration.
  • Prefer candidates from established global retail brands or fast-scaling retail concepts.
