Kanthal Division in Shanghai is seeking for a Sales Manager in Heating Material.

Your Role

Overview
Kanthal is part of Sweden's Alleima, serving as a globally advanced provider of products and services in the field of industrial heating technology and high-quality resistance materials. Since its establishment in 1931, Kanthal has been dedicated to offering advanced heating technology solutions and premium resistance materials and services. Its product portfolio includes a wide range of materials for electric heating, temperature sensing, and heat-resistant applications, as well as ultra-fine stainless steel and precious metal wires for the medical and electronic equipment sectors.

Responsibilities
The Sales manager is responsible and accountable for creating the business plan for the region and execute together with the Sales team member to reach the set objectives.

  • Responsible for the creation of the Sales plan and execution of activities.
  • Accountable for reaching the sales area's short term (15 month rolling) sales and business development targets including price management.
  • Accountable for the Sales forecast and assisting the Sales Area Manager with relevant information at customer, industry segment and product level.
  • Drive business intelligence activities including, but not limited to, competitor activities, industry segment behavior etc.
  • Accountable for AR and Overdues within the area of responsibility.
  • Responsibility to understand market demand and support supply chain in local inventory management
  • Lead and co-ordinate with team member to ensure sales targets are met.
  • Identify appropriate market communications needs and initiate relevant activities in collaboration MarCom.
  • Responsible for ensuring that customer data and activities are recorded in the company CRM system.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
About You

  • Bachelor's degree or above in relevant area such as Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Power engineering or similar.
  • 5+ years of sales experience and preferably leadership experience in line organization or project management, plenty of direct sales experience is preferred.
  • Strong technical knowledge and skills in materials and heating element or related work experience is preferred.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin, both written and spoken is needed.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and customer-oriented.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willing to travel frequently and adapt to different cultures and environments.
