Role Purpose
To lead, inspire and motivate the LRQA - Assessment team across the region to generate and deliver new and existing business through the promotion of LRQA's products and services and excellent service delivery.
This role will be required to:
- Act as a member of the Assessment Leadership Team to influence decision making and to contribute with the development and achievement of strategic targets that will support the overall growth of the LRQA business.
- Lead and manage teams within region of responsibility in line with agreed strategies and budgets to achieve commercial and operational targets.
To act as a role model/ambassador of our LRQA values and behaviours and cultural aspirations.
Key Responsibilities:
Set and lead the business strategy/ P&L for the region aligned to 'LRQA – Assessment' growth plan and roadmap, to deliver on our commercial ambition.
Set, monitor and report on financial and non-financial performance in line with local and global targets, reporting on anomalies as appropriate.
Monitor industry drivers, products, markets and competitors and analyse their impact on our value proposition. Provide commercial insight to influence the focus areas that will accelerate growth/ optimise our operational model.
Work with key stakeholders to develop new approaches to growth, investigating new markets and products. Identify and present opportunities to strengthen our market share through mergers, acquisitions and/or joint venture activity. Identify how new or existing services may be created/ adapted into new opportunities e.g. entry into new markets, ensuring a one LRQA approach.
Oversee the implementation of pricing changes across the region and monitor ongoing performance expectations. This will include updating the ways we charge for our services in conjunction with the auditor experience programme e.g. seasonal pricing/ premium fees for named auditors, incentives for early scheduling and non-cancelation, upfront billing, partnering with the sales & marketing teams to model our client proposition in specific countries/ geographies, aligned to our growth plans, etc
Represent LRQA in industry forums and other external activities as a partner of choice. Use internal and external intelligence to grow LRQA's reputation and develop relationships with key partners, political and sector contacts.
Undertake client visits as appropriate to support major bids and to build and maintain strong working relationships with key clients. Lead the resolution of complaints in line with LRQA procedures.
Lead and develop the regional management team to build capability and deliver a positive employee experience; via engagement, performance management and talent management.
Work with the Global HRBP for LRQA – Assessment, to drive and create robust people plans, to build and sustain a high-performance culture.
Drive effective resource planning, to achieve cost effective and efficient service delivery in line with strategic plans.
Partner with peers, central and local support functions to ensure agreed service levels are delivered to support LRQA – Assessment's overall performance.
Drive a culture of quality and business improvement by ensuring that structures, systems, processes and procedures are co-ordinated effectively and efficiently to meet LRQA commercial requirements.
Manage own and regional team's compliance with health and safety rules, instructions, systems and legal requirements, ensuring employees are suitably trained and adequate resources are available to work safely.
Key health & safety responsibilities:
Eliminate or minimise employee exposure to risks by regularly reviewing the health and safety risk register, applying appropriate controls, communicating results of risk assessments, and ensuring health and safety is considered in the planning and execution of all LRQA activities.
Manage your own, and your team's, compliance with health and safety rules, instructions, systems and legal requirements to ensure employees are suitably trained and adequate resources are available to work safely.

Technical / Professional Qualifications / Requirements:
Shall possess a relevant Bachelor's degree or equivalent from a recognised university. MBA or equivalent desirable.
Shall possess substantial relevant experience to demonstrate comprehensive understanding of the certification market specialist requirements, knowledge and application. At least 15 years relevant working experience.
Proven track record in managing a fast growing and profitable medium sized business whilst building organisational and technical capabilities to deliver business solutions in the designated area.
Proven track record developing commercial strategies and growth plans, building and sustaining client satisfaction.
Substantial experience in delivering top and bottom-line financial targets.
Has the credibility and impact necessary to influence and build trusted relationships with clients and colleagues, and possess the drive and energy required to tackle a wide-ranging and complex agenda.
The ability to balance strategic objectives with an operational and practical perspective; defining pragmatic solutions that are commercially viable for the organisation and translate them into actionable plans.

Outstanding leadership skills with significant experience of successfully implementing sound people management practices (inclusive of recruitment, employee engagement, development and retention) to establish a high performance and client focused organisation.
