HR Unit Manager (Foreign Firm)

Location: Shanghai (Onsite)

Responsibilities

  • Manage all HR functions for the China operations team, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and talent development.
  • Drive talent acquisition strategies to attract and retain top talent, especially for key roles in the China market.
  • Design and implement localized HR policies and practices aligned with global standards, ensuring compliance with China's labor laws.
  • Lead HR projects in coordination with global HR and support organizational development initiatives.
  • Serve as the key HR contact for the China team, directly reporting to the overseas HR Head; collaborate closely with the China Country Manager and production office for local execution.
  • Act as a cultural and operational bridge between local teams and global leadership, ensuring smooth alignment on talent and organizational priorities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in HRM or HRBP roles, textile industry experience is a must, preferably in fashion retail, FMCG, or e-commerce industries.
  • Hands-on experience managing full-cycle recruitment and setting up performance evaluation systems.
  • Strong knowledge of China labor regulations, employee lifecycle management, and HR compliance practices.
  • Fluency in both English and Mandarin; strong cross-cultural communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Self-driven, detail-oriented, and adaptable to fast-changing business needs in a multinational environment.
