Within PPG's Global Procurement organization, the Center of Excellence (COE) is responsible for Processes and Analytics. The Operations COE APAC Specialist will have a critical role to lead and support under the Policy, Process, Programs and Compliance function by playing a critical role in supporting and running procedures and processes to drive standardization and compliance and managing and supporting functional programs. You will be responsible for the following categories. You will report to Procurement COE Manager and location is in Shanghai.

  • Raw Materials, Indirect materials, Logistics
  • All PPG business units , manufacturing plants ,paints and Coatings applications

Key Responsibilities

  • Create stakeholder alignment within the Procurement & Supply Chain function, strategic business units, functions and with suppliers
  • Responsible for all knowledge sharing, communications, and transfer across regions
  • Facilitate skills development and training within the COE, Procurement & Supply Chain team
  • Establish and own global Procurement & Supply Chain policies in the areas of development, implementation, training, compliance/measurement, enforcement and continuously evaluate and identify gaps with regards to policies and compliance
  • Support audit processes on the designated region on an ad-hoc basis on behalf of Procurement & Supply Chain and drive the function towards a state of proactive readiness at all times (this includes active documentation, maintenance of audit schedules, )
  • Contribute to other Procurement/Supply Chain driven programs, such as Risk Management, Supplier Quality, Third Party Due Diligence, Performance Metrics, etc. in coordination with SBUs and an understanding of PPG customer expectations and regulations
  • Being key contact and owner of data, focal point for users and training, developing roadmap for Procurement/Supply Chain Tools i.e. RMI, VAP, PSI, Power BI

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of current and/or prior process- and policy-oriented experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or a Business-related field of study
  • Fluent English, both orally and in writing.
  • Comfortable coordinating and managing global initiatives across diverse teams and geographies
