该职位来源于猎聘 General Description: Responsible for the assigned system/module/component across the line organization throughout the complete product development process from the SF (Start of Feasibility) to SOP (Start of Production) and beyond (ramp-up support).
Responsible for achieving the system/module/component targets, leading the assigned SE-Teams (Simultaneous Engineering Teams) and for release recommendations towards the Company's customer (after approval from Project Manager / Chief Engineer / Lead Engineer).
Manages and represents his/her assigned systems/modules/components in a comprehensive approach internally and externally towards the customer and suppliers in the project.
Main Duties, Operational Tasks, Responsibilities
Operational Tasks
- Set-up and leading of the assigned SE-Teams
- Target agreement within the module and cascading to component level
- Ensure the agreed main development objectives of assigned systems/modules/components
- Target monitoring, balancing of targets, solving of target conflicts, definition of counter measures and escalation in case of deviations or violating targets internally and externally to ensure target achievement
- Create and maintain effective module/system/component development plan (work breakdown structure, milestone and timing schedule, open items list,…) based on the project master plan and Lessons Learned
- Execution of effective, comprehensive project controlling concerning the assigned systems/modules/components targets Monitor the complete product development process of the assigned system/module/component across all development phases
- Coordinate all interfaces of assigned systems/modules/components Company-internally and towards Company's customer and suppliers (e.g. engineering, production, assembly, procurement, quality, logistics, service,…)
- Coordination and technical steering of assigned system/module/component suppliers
- Trigger component-specific Claim-Management towards the customer in agreement with the Project Manager
- Trigger and monitor Change-, Concern-and Release process of assigned systems/modules/components (internally to be managed and driven by Design Quality)
- Create and align product requirement-and specification documents of system/module/component based on the superior element requirements
- Monitor the system/module/component DVP&R (technical content DVP&R is under responsibility of assigned Integration Responsible)
- Ensure quality and APQP process by utilizing appropriate quality tools (e.g. Component-DFMEA, Fishbone diagram, 8D-Report,…)
- Coordinates and leads assigned operative engineers in the project according to Reference Project Organization
- Leads the Simultaneous Engineering Team and/or representation of assigned systems/modules/components in the Simultaneous Engineering Team towards the AVL customer
- Continuous reporting of the development status internally and towards the AVL customer Rights and Responsibilities:
- Authority to lead the assigned module / component team and other assigned operative engineers.
- Responsible for achieving the system/module/component targets (technical, quality, cost, timing, service, etc.) in alignment with the entire project targets and escalation in case of possible deviation
- Responsible for release of product requirements and specifications of system/module
- Responsible for the release recommendation of the assigned modules/systems/components and related documents towards the AVL customer after approval from Project Manager / Chief Engineer / Lead Engineer.
- Documentation of parts maturity for release
- Gathering of technical release for Quality Gates from Target Responsible (TRI) in the project and appropriate responsible Lead Engineer
- Takes decisions for achieving the optimum solution within the assigned systems/modules/components based on the given targets in alignment with the Project Manager respectively the nominated Chief Engineer.
- Immediate escalation in case of target deviations or customer scope changes to the Project Manager respectively to the nominated Chief engineer.
- Handling of and compliance with the defined product development processes of the assigned scope of responsibility
- Initiate and monitor activities and tasks to validate systems/modules according to timing schedule and DVP&R
- Follow compliance and confidentiality guidelines (internal and external)
Qualification Requirements:
- Mechanical or electrical engineering, engine/transmission/electrical/vehicle engineering degree of a secondary technical college/university of applied sciences/university of technology, or similar qualification and/or expertise gained through practical professional experience.
- Industrialization competence and experience, understanding of serial production requirements
- Project management competence and experience
- Professional experience in automotive serial development processes, APQP competence
- Relevant experience as person in charge of system/module/components and/or Simultaneous Engineering team leader
- Very good communication and moderation skills
- Excellent spoken and written English
- High level of goal orientation and self-organization
