Overview
Lead the Food Ventures agenda in "Anchor Market", accelerating PepsiCo's growth by expanding our brands into new meal occasions across in-home and away-from-home consumption. This role will be responsible for executing the global Food Ventures strategy with a local lens, developing scalable, culturally relevant, and consumer-first business models.
Responsibilities
- Tailor execution, validate pilots, and scale innovation to the first wave of Anchor Markets
Bring consumer insights, development and localization concepts to tangible solutions.
- Move with the agility and ownership of a start-up, while drawing on the full strength, capabilities, and reach of PepsiCo's global scale.
- Translate the global Food Ventures strategy into locally relevant initiatives that drive incremental growth.
- Identify and activate relevant meal occasions in Mexico (ready-to-eat, heat-and-eat, cook solutions).
- Build brand ecosystems that connect Retail, Away-From-Home (AFH), and Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) channels.
- Create and scale commercially viable and profitable models in partnership with AFH operators, retailers, and DTC platforms.
- Explore new monetization opportunities through brand licensing, culinary experiences, and merchandising.
- Collaborate with R&D teams to develop real food solutions that strengthen brand equity.
Ensure brand consistency across all consumer touch points.
- Act as a strategic partner to the global Food Ventures team, operating with speed and a test-and-learn mindset.
- Coordinate cross-functionally with local marketing, sales, insights, and supply chain teams to ensure effective execution.
- DTC: Create immersive "brand" markets to drive revenue, amplify the brand positioning, and further build direct relationships with consumers.
- AFH: partner at scale with street hawkers and street food entrepreneurs to expand brand presence on the streets and accelerate the "green footprint", enabled through tailored digital solutions and scalable support.
- Retail: Drive our product extensions into ingredients, meal compliments, and RTC/RTE.
Qualifications
- +8 years of experience in marketing, innovation, business development, or commercial strategy within the food, beverage, or FMCG industries.
- Proven track record of launching or scaling consumer-centric initiatives, ideally across multiple channels (Retail, AFH, DTC).
- Experience working in cross-functional teams and navigating matrixed organizations.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to translate global frameworks into locally relevant solutions.
- Consumer-first orientation, with a deep understanding of Mexican food culture and consumption behaviors.
- Strong commercial acumen, capable of identifying and executing viable business models.
- Agile and resilient, comfortable operating in ambiguity and testing fast to learn and iterate.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, able to influence across levels and functions.
- Entrepreneurial spirit with a bias for action and innovation.
- Collaborative and inclusive, fostering strong partnerships across internal and external stakeholders.
