该职位来源于猎聘 Role Objective: We are seeking a results-driven Trade Lane Development Manager to drive the growth and profitability of our global trade lanes, with German market trade lanes prioritized. The role encompasses market analysis, product development, carrier and partner negotiations, and cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Operations, and Technology to design and deliver best-in-class freight forwarding solutions. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and develop trade lanes, focusing on opportunity management and business development to drive Gross Profit (GP)/ volume growth.
- Collaborate with the sales teams to create and deliver compelling pitches and presentations to potential clients, showcasing the value and benefits of our trade lane solutions.
- Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify potential trade opportunities, evaluate market dynamics, and stay ahead of industry trends.
- Identify and establish relationships with key stakeholders, including carriers, suppliers, and customers, to leverage partnerships and enhance service offerings.
- Develop and execute strategic plans to expand trade lanes, including identifying target markets, assessing competitive landscape, and implementing action plans.
- Monitor and analyze trade lane performance, including KPIs, volumes, and profitability, and implement continuous improvement strategies.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including operations, customer service, and finance, to ensure seamless execution and delivery of trade lane services.
- Stay updated on industry regulations, compliance requirements, and market conditions that may impact trade lane operations.
- Foster strong relationships with existing clients, providing exceptional customer service, and acting as a trust advisor to meet their evolving needs.
- Conduct sales campaigns on the defined market.
- Assist in ad-hoc duties or projects as assigned. Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, International Trade, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics planning, or supply chain development with specific knowledge of European market.
- Proven track record in trade lane development in freight forwarding industry.
- Excellent networking and interpersonal skills and the ability to work across cultures.
- Strong negotiation, relationship-building, and vendor management skills.
- Fluency in English required; German language proficiency (written and spoken) highly preferred. Note: Speaking German is a plus.
- Ability to travel regularly within Europe, and occasionally globally. Desired Skills and Competencies:
