- Search for production capacities and facilities in the field of mechanical processing – milling, turning, grinding, knurling, polishing.
- Search for production capacities and facilities in the field of heat treatment and material strengthening – hardening, tempering, induction hardening, carburizing, nitrocarburizing, nitriding, etc.
- Search for production capacities and facilities for the manufacturing of drive components – gear shaping, gear hobbing, broaching, electrical discharge machining (EDM).
- Search for production capacities and facilities for heat treatment and material strengthening – hardening, tempering, induction hardening, carburizing, nitrocarburizing, nitriding, laser hardening.
- Search for companies performing destructive and non-destructive testing of parts to determine surface hardness and material properties.
- Analyze production facilities for the possibility of manufacturing parts according to provided design documentation; analyze available equipment and machinery of potential contractors to assess their technological capability to meet the required specifications.
- Search for companies performing incoming inspection using measuring tools and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to verify compliance with design documentation.
- Perform basic inspection of parts for compliance with design documentation using manual measuring tools: micrometer, two- and three-point bore gauges, calipers, depth gauge, profilometer, gauge sets.
- Search for alternative and high-tech manufacturing technologies for drive components with high requirements for dimensional accuracy, surface hardness, and surface roughness.
Requirements
- Work experience as a process engineer in the production of drive components: gears, shafts, bearing housings and bearings, complex housing parts.
- Knowledge of the nomenclature of modern milling, turning, gear cutting, grinding, and polishing machines.
- Knowledge of methods for measuring parts, identifying dimensional deviations; hands-on experience with manual measuring instruments.
- Experience in developing technological processes for manufacturing complex precision parts; experience in designing custom cutting tools.
- Knowledge of the nomenclature of steels and alloys, their strengthening and heat treatment methods.
- Basic knowledge of ISO, DIN, GOST standards.
- Experience working with CAD/CAM modules (ideally Siemens NX).
- Strong advantage: experience with KISSSoft.
