We are in search of a Head of Engineering Project Management to serve as a foundational architect within our company. In this critical role, you will lead cross-functional teams throughout the new product development lifecycle, from prototype development to volume manufacturing. This position is based in ourShenzhen/Dongguan office.
Product Co-development
Collaborate with clients through comprehensive discovery sessions to gain a clear understanding of their vision, goals, and requirements.
Lead design, testing, and refinement of prototypes to ensure adherence to specifications and quality standards, while develop thorough testing strategies and analyze results to enable continuous design enhancements and rapid prototyping
Pre-Production Planning
Production Line Design and Optimization
Support Production teams to design production lines, create production schedules and develop resource allocation plans that facilitate the efficient transition of prototypes into mass production.
Volume Manufacturing – Continuous Improvement Initiatives and Quality Assurance
- Assist production team on technical challenges through root cause analysis and the
implementation of corrective action protocols.
Support production team to leverage real-time production data on MES to design and implement strategies focused on yield enhancement and scalability.
Facilitate production team to incorporate continuous improvement initiatives such production workflows optimization and automation solutions integration across production lines to achieve lean manufacturing.
Establish and oversee quality assurance protocols to ensure compliance with all standards,including conducting regular audits of the production process, and implementing necessary corrective actions to maintain product quality.
Throughout the Production Cycle – Tooling, Fixtures and Mould Design and Fabrication:
Manage the entire lifecycle of tooling, fixtures and mould creation, from conceptual design through to fabrication.
Implement best practices in manufacturing techniques to ensure that tooling, fixtures and mould meet strict precision specifications. This includes utilizing advanced software for design simulations, selecting appropriate materials based on material science principles, and applying coatings to enhance durability and performance.
Streamline production processes by implementing innovative tooling, fixtures and mould
solutions that reduce cycle times, minimize waste, and improve overall productivity.
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field
Master's degree (MBA) is preferred
Over 6 years in similar roles in multinational companies in manufacturing industry
Strong problem-solving abilities, coupled with expertise in project management
Fluency in written and spoken English
Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build initiatives from the ground up and translate ideas into actionable plans
