Manufacturing & Sustaining Engineer
Location:
Suzhou, China (On site)

Job Overview
This is a combined role critical for both daily production stability and long-term process improvement. The position is responsible for providing comprehensive technical support to ensure seamless day-to-day operations, while also leading process validation, new product introduction, and continuous improvement projects. We need a hands-on problem-solver and a versatile all-rounder capable of managing tasks from technical guidance to project execution autonomously.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Production Support & Daily Operations

  • Prioritize daily activities to provide full technical support to existing production processes, ensuring production targets are met.
  • Provide technical guidance to production technicians.
  • Act as a core team member for all manufacturing and distribution projects.
  • Communicate regularly to management on progress for all work activities.

Process Validation & Quality Compliance

  • Ensure production lines are maintained in a validated state at all times.
  • Develop, execute, and report on validation protocols (e.g., IQ, PQ) in compliance with US、EU and localregulations.
  • Assist the team in developing and maintaining procedures, promoting Good Documentation Practices (GDP), and supporting CAPA, complaint handling, and non-conforming product processes.
  • Review and approve documents such as Engineering Change Orders (ECO), validation reports, risk assessments, and PFMEAs.
  • Lead process validation activities, including developing plans, protocols, and related documentation (e.g., assembly work instructions, process flow charts, BOMs).

New Product Introduction & Continuous Improvement

  • Support new product transfer and design verification activities, including establishing product technical requirements and testing methods.
  • Identify and drive improvements in process performance, determining methods to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Utilize statistical analysis (e.g., DOE, SPC) to target root causes of yield loss and improve quality.
  • Conceptualize tooling and processes, estimate costs, and propose justifications for capital equipment investments.
  • Establish First Article Inspection (FAI) requirements for new suppliers or materials.

Qualifications & Experience
Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a similar field.
  • Minimum of 5years of manufacturing or sustaining engineering experience in MNCs; medical device experience is preferred.
  • Successful experience with new product transfer or design verification projects is required.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong working knowledge of regulatory expectations (eg.ISO
  • Demonstrated ability to apply statistical methods to solve production and engineering issues.
  • Excellent problem-solving and project management skills.
  • Superior organizational and interpersonal skills; must be proactive, a team player, and able to take ownership of projects.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is required.
  • Fluency in English (both written and spoken) is mandatory.
  • Travel Requirements

Up to 15% domestic or international travel on a project-need basis.
