Job Description

Position Overview:

The role provides support in the management of partnership marketing initiatives with strategic partners in Mainland China. Partners include but are not limited to retailers, airlines, financial institutions, and lifestyle companies. Initiatives will focus on campaign planning and execution as well as partnership management.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Marketing and Strategic Alliances China, you will support driving maximum returns from all our partnership campaigns to meet the commercial objectives for Mainland China including assuming responsibility for multiple concurrent projects by coordinating activities among multiple internal and external teams. More specifically, this role will be responsible to perform the following tasks to the highest levels:

Directing Activities     

  • Raise all necessary forms to create new campaigns, prepare campaign timelines and liaise with internal teams to set-up promotion codes.    
  • Prepare creative briefs detailing partner’s information, promotional offers, key messages and with very specific marketing tone and appeal customized to local markets.    
  • Liaise with the partners and brand marketing to confirm creative content and provide all materials requested by partners.    
  • Work with partners to confirm partner’s promotional channels in each promotion, and ensure channels go live.  
  • Measure campaign performance with existing and new analytical platforms.

Controlling Activities     

  • Track the progress of multiple projects and update stakeholders on changes in timelines and any changes to Business Development SOPs with inter-dependent departments and external vendors.    
  • Monitor issues and risks for each project and track how these are developing based on mitigating decisions taken and escalate as appropriate.    
  • Campaign management across promotions including working with agencies and regional marketing teams to ensure timely completion of translations and/or in-market copy for promotions, and working with the relevant account managers and legal to ensure all promotions are clearly communicated to customers to avoid complaints and potential legal action.  

Planning Activities     

  • Determine accurate timelines for projects, taking into consideration possible interdependencies with other teams or projects and relevant business partner agreements.    
  • Provide updates on project status including issues, risks and resource requirements, maintaining a record of decisions taken at the various authority levels.    
  • Organize meetings/calls with resources involved to meet agreed milestones.  

Support Functions     

  • Preparation of program presentations including but not limited to building project timelines, campaign proposals, PowerPoint decks and developing other presentation materials as warranted to ensure timely communication of marketing activities and performance to internal and external stakeholders as directed.    
  • Support invoice processes for all partnership activities (if applicable).
  • May be required to perform other duties and supportive functions, with the time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor, based upon the requirements of the business.
Qualifications
  • Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from an educational institute or any other combination of education training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.    
  • Minimum of two (2) years of work experience, with marketing and financial background (hospitality or tourism-related industries are preferred, however management is open for discussion if skill set is equivalent).    
  • Have in-depth knowledge on Mainland China, its market classification, demographics, travel trends and innovative ways to improve partnership management.
  • Ability to engage with senior marketing managers and represent Business Development appropriately when discussing the rollout and management of key initiatives.   
  • Ability to coordinate projects among multiple parties, including providing direction to internal teams and external partners, departments, and vendors/agencies.    
  • Through-the-line marketing experience, including offline and online marketing, as well as social media marketing.    
  • Outstanding ability to give attention to detail and multi-task.    
  • Independent and ability to take initiative with project management.    
  • Proficiency with MS Office, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.  
  • Experience working in teams and/or projects remotely.    
  • Proficiency in conversing and interpreting Simplified Chinese and English is a must (Traditional Chinese will be beneficial).
