Tender Management
o Responsible for the co-ordination of Tender responses/submissions
o Responsible for the maintenance of the organisation's content database and case studies, including supplychain management Solutions (which may include web and marketing collateral).
o Ensure the appropriate compliance to the Customer Life Cycle Management workflow from phases 2-4
o Responsible for the support on process analysis, solution design and associated productivity benchmarks for new business
o Document proposals and presentations in accordance with client requirements
o Provide expertise in the cost modelling and analysis of business for pricing determination and business improvement analysis
Solution Design
o Responsible for managing assigned Tender projects for Toll existing and potential customers in Asia pacific region, mainly for Greater China projects.
o Provide analysis and design support in the pursuit of new business, inclusive of requirement clarifications, tender evaluations, human capabilities calculations, infrastructure investments and design.
o Conduct solution design inclusive of networks (fleet, hubs, routes, schedules), process design and documentation, costing/pricing and complete solution proposals for potential clients and business opportunities.
o Support New clients/customers analyse and document processes, workflows, position responsibilities and system flow in conjunction with physical transport network, identify tactical recommendations
o Ensure that key stakeholders (Internal & External) for projects identified to understand the project/solution requirements, communicate data requirements and methodology and build cross functional relationships.
o Responsible for project deliverable and involvement in solution presentations to customers
o Support Account Management and Business Development activities as required to meet the objectives of the team and department in Greater China
Sales Support
o Responsible to provide support to Business Development and Account Management in the aspects relating to sales materials and reference cases
o Representative of Collaboration portals for the country, including contributions to development, uploading and administration of materials
o Responsibility for the administration and co-ordination of the sales pipeline and/or customer relation management tools
o Undertake the necessary support in terms of solutions, proposals and presentations where required for the support of new business opportunities
o Conduct research and development into auto-proposal builders and maintain a robust current set of building blocks
Continuous operations improvement and re-engineering
o Analyse and document processes, workflows, position responsibilities and system flow in conjunction with physical supply chain, identify tactical recommendations
o Identify innovative opportunities that generate efficiencies, design new processes and direct pilot tests. Assess impact of designed processes, impact to warehouse design, technologies needed, impact to customer etc.
o Analyse contractual commitments, specifications, performance and other data to plan and develop logistics activities by using knowledge of industrial engineering, ergonomics, business practices & requirements
Automation
o Apply robust analytical approach to flexible, sustainable and efficient Automation solution design
o Maintain working relationships and collaborate with vendors of integrated warehouse technologies and specialist firms across warehousing and trucking.
o Ensure proper assessment of efficiency for solution concepts, undertake simulation studies on capacity profiles and limits, line balancing, incremental investments.
o Conduct detailed cost impacts on Automation solutions and develop and conduct presentations or outlines on recommended solutions to both internal and external stakeholders
o Support the project management of automation implementations with specific focus on solution, design, testing and validation
o Organise with the IT teams to facilitate integration of automation solutions with internal and other associated systems.
Infrastructure Design, Capacity and Productivity
o Review the current lay-out and perform warehouse re-design as needed taking into consideration of net impact
o Review appropriate storage types and methodologies
o Use variety of tools like Auto CAD, Slotting, Pro Mod, Llama soft, Inform to present/understand, predict and/or improve logistics operations, warehouse lay-out and processes
o Conduct Time studies and work measurement analysis to determine the current productivity and cycle times.
o Review the usage of appropriate MEH in relation to product specification, operations requirement and Layout
o Identify potential improvement opportunities and setting the productivity standards for the operations for ramp-up/ramp down scenario.
Analysis and Support
o Conduct Financial impact (cost benefit) analysis for proposed initiatives, quantify savings projection and together with intangible benefits
o Assess the impact of changes and project against commercial offers to assess areas of further substantiation or profit improvement
o Support Operational Excellence/Six Sigma/Lean corporate initiatives and program and offer support and advice to the Innovations team in the development of standardised solutions/tools to support general Logistics/Industrial Engineering programs
o Apply, implement and train staff on the use and interpretation of such tools/methodologies
