The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced CFO to lead our finance function during this critical growth phase. This is an exceptional opportunity for a hands-on financial leader to make a significant impact in a dynamic, manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities
Financial Leadership & Reporting
- Prepare consolidated financial statements across multiple entities (China and US)
- Lead annual budgeting processes across all regions and conduct monthly variance analysis
- Establish and maintain regular management reporting systems
- Provide strategic financial insights to CEO/COO and shareholders
Audit & Compliance
- Coordinate external audit processes and ensure audit readiness
- Strengthen internal controls and implement financial policies
- Manage statutory and group audit requirements
- Support due diligence processes for potential exit scenarios
Operations & Process Improvement
- Improve daily accounting processes and consolidated reporting procedures
- Collaborate with ERP, manufacturing, and sales teams on process enhancements
- Coordinate monthly inventory management with manufacturing and warehouse teams
- Drive cross-functional improvements in financial operations
Team Leadership
- Lead and develop the finance team across accounting and forecasting functions
- Foster collaborative relationships across departments
- Mentor team members and build organizational financial capabilities
Requirements
CPA certification (China, US, or Japan)
3-5 years of experience in financial reporting and management accounting
- Proven experience in audit processes (either as auditor or in-house audit lead)
- Experience with consolidated financial statements and multi-entity reporting
Technical Skills
- Business-level fluency in both Chinese and English (reading, writing, speaking)
- Japanese language ability (conversational level or higher)
- Experience in manufacturing environments, particularly in China
- Background with global sales operations
- Strong proficiency in financial systems and ERP platforms
- Advanced Excel/spreadsheet modeling capabilities
- Budget development and variance analysis expertise
