A leading investment firm is expanding its legal team and hiring
two Legal Counsel positions
to support growing deal activity across both early-stage and international buyout investments. These roles offer the opportunity to work closely with experienced investors, gain deep transactional exposure, and contribute meaningfully to high-growth portfolios.
1. Legal Counsel – Seed / Early-Stage Investments
Join a lean team supporting incubation and early-phase technology ventures. While the legal issues are generally straightforward, the scope is broad and fast-moving, requiring strong organisation and the ability to manage multiple tasks independently.
You will:
- Support early-stage investments across diverse tech sectors
- Manage due diligence, routine deal documentation, and operational matters
- Work directly with founders and portfolio companies
- Handle various transactional and portfolio support tasks
We're looking for:
- 3 to 6 years of PQE
- Training from an international law firm or top "red circle" PRC law firm
- Comfortable working independently and managing high-volume work
- Detail-oriented and adaptable
2. Legal Counsel – Buyout / International Transactions
Work with a busy buyout team executing transactions across Europe, Japan, and other global markets. The China-based legal team handles all international deal support, and due to significant deal flow, this additional headcount is being added.
You will:
- Support cross-border buyout deals across Europe, Japan and APAC
- Assist senior counsel during live transactions and post-investment work
- Review NDAs, corporate documents, and investment agreements
- Contribute to both deployment and portfolio management
We're looking for:
- Training from an international law firm or top "red circle" PRC law firm
- Strong English drafting and communication skills (required)
- Corporate/M&A/investment experience; buyout experience a plus
- Ability to learn quickly and work across multiple jurisdictions
