I. JOB SUMMARY
The Global EPS (Equipment Parts and Services) Procurement Head is responsible for leading and managing the end-to-end procurement activities for semiconductor manufacturing equipment, parts and related services on a global scale. This role entails developing and executing strategic sourcing initiatives, managing key supplier relationships, and driving cost efficiency while ensuring the availability, quality, and performance of critical production equipment. The position reports directly to the Chief Procurement Officer (CPO).
The global EPS category includes high-value capital expenditures such as wafer fabrication equipment, assembly and test systems, and advanced automation solutions etc.
What you will do
- Strategic Sourcing:
- Develop and implement global sourcing strategies for semiconductor production equipment, parts and technical services.
- Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on technological capability, quality, cost, and support service.
- Supplier Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships with key semiconductor equipment manufacturers.
- Monitor supplier performance against KPIs including delivery, quality, uptime, and service responsiveness.
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation through supplier collaboration.
- Cost and Value Management:
- Lead negotiations for high-value capital equipment and long-term service agreements.
- Analyze should-cost models and total cost of ownership (TCO) for equipment investments.
- Collaborate with engineering and finance teams to optimize life-cycle costs.
- Team and Stakeholder Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a global team of equipment procurement professionals.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders including manufacturing, engineering, maintenance, and planning to ensure alignment on technical and business requirements.
III. SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Hard Skills:
- Deep understanding of semiconductor manufacturing equipment, parts and technical services supply markets.
- Strong technical aptitude to evaluate equipment specifications and performance metrics.
- Expertise in capital expenditure (CAPEX) procurement and total cost of ownership analysis.
- Proven experience in negotiating complex technical contracts and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Proficiency in project management and cross-functional leadership in a global matrix organization.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills with fluency in English.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and operational teams across cultures.
- Strategic thinker with ability to operate in a dynamic, high-tech environment.
What you will need
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum 12 years of procurement experience, with at least 6 years in semiconductor capital equipment sourcing.
- Proven track record of managing global procurement teams and leading high-value technical negotiations.
- Experience working with key semiconductor equipment suppliers such as ASML, Applied Materials, TEL, KLA, etc.
