About The Role
As a Chemical Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing the supply of chemical raw materials to tesa's production processes. You will ensure cost-effective procurement while maintaining quality, compliance, and sustainability standards.
What you will do
- Strategic Sourcing: Identify and evaluate suppliers of chemical raw materials, focusing on quality, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
- Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with domestic and international suppliers; monitor performance and compliance.
- Contract Negotiation: Negotiate terms, pricing, and delivery schedules; manage contracts and agreements.
- Risk Management: Develop contingency plans for supply disruptions; ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with R&D, production, and quality teams to align procurement with technical requirements.
- Sustainability Focus: Support sustainability goals by sourcing eco-friendly and compliant materials.
What you will need
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in chemical procurement or supply chain in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of chemical markets, REACH, and other relevant regulations.
- Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP systems.
- Fluent in English; additional language skills (e.g., German) are a plus.
