  • Extensive experience in independently completing and reviewing flow diagrams (UFD), P&IDs, and system control descriptions for maritime systems, utility systems, cargo handling systems, and various auxiliary systems for topsides in offshore projects, with the ability to write in English.
  • Extensive experience in independently performing heat balance calculations for various cooling and heating systems, such as cargo tank heating systems, steam/hot water heating systems, and main generator cooling systems.
  • Extensive experience in independently calculating and determining key equipment parameters and pipeline sizes for machinery space equipment, utility equipment, safety/control valves, and related special items.
  • Extensive experience in performing reasonable analysis and calculations of utility consumption balances based on various operating conditions of the entire floating unit.
  • Considerable design experience in topside process system design, with deep understanding and sufficient knowledge of API standards.
  • Independently complete discharge criteria for sewage/sludge oil and technical specifications for maritime systems.
  • Conduct consistency studies with classification society rules and regulations.
  • Independently complete equipment selection, piping material and wall thickness selection, and valve/special item selection.
  • Lead front-end design and review for Pre-FEED and FEED projects.
  • Lead technical R&D and innovation in maritime systems.
  • Provide technical assistance for bidding projects and R&D projects.
  • Provide technical support to construction and commissioning teams.
  • Lead safety analyses such as HAZOP/HAZID/LOPA and independently deliver effective presentations to clients.
  • Participate in 3D model reviews and assist in closing out client comments.
  • Ability to publish patents and technical innovation descriptions.
  • Prepare maritime system checklists.
  • Review key drawings from other disciplines, such as single-line diagrams, electrical load analyses, hazardous area classification drawings, PFP diagrams, and D&IDs.

Key Qualifications:

  • Proficient in classification society rules and international regulations, e.g., SOLAS, ABS, DNVGL, BV, IGC, IGF, IGC EHS rules, and class notation requirements related to LNG.
  • Extensive experience in basic and detailed design of offshore projects such as FPSO, FLNG, and FPU.
  • Proficient in various rules, regulations, and standards in the oil and gas industry.
  • Ability to comprehensively lead and guide cross-disciplinary teams based on a full understanding of the system to achieve optimized design and zero design failures.
  • Experience in leading at least five HAZOP workshops for offshore projects and closing out HAZOP comments.
  • Ability to provide recommendations or key comments on maritime system P&IDs and related design documents based on CAPEX/OPEX/RAM/risk assessments.
  • Proficient in various operating conditions of floating offshore units (e.g., FPSO/FLNG/FPU).
  • Ability to coordinate and lead discussions on scope of work (SOW) to achieve optimal work division in case of disagreements.
  • Proficient in using Pipenet software.
  • Proficient in using HYSYS software.
