Job Description
Business Partnering

  • Act as a trusted advisor to Division GMs, providing insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Partner with operational teams to evaluate investment opportunities, new projects, and cost-benefit analyses.
  • Drive alignment between finance and cross-functional teams to achieve organizational goals.

Financial Leadership

  • Provide strategic financial guidance to the executive team to support business growth and long-term objectives.
  • Drive financial planning, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling.
  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements in compliance with statutory and management reporting standards.

Financial Analysis & Decision Support

  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify risks, opportunities, and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Collaborate with business divisions to analyse profitability by product, customer, or market segment.
  • Develop KPIs to measure financial and operational performance.

Operational Efficiency & Cost Optimization

  • Lead initiatives to streamline processes, improve financial systems, and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Review ROIs on discounts & marketing expenses to support quality volume growth.
  • Oversee cost saving and control measures, including procurement, production, logistics and other operating costs.
  • Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Ensure alignment and collaboration between the finance team and other business functions.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and tax requirements.
  • Lead external audits, liaising with auditors and ensuring timely resolution of audit findings.
  • Monitor and manage financial risks and operational exposures.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Professional accounting qualification.
  • FMCG industry experience.
  • Minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 3-5 years in a senior leadership role, FMCG experience is an advantage.
  • Proven track record in financial planning, analysis, and reporting.
  • Experience in managing complex budgets, cost optimization, and financial modelling.
