We are seeking a highly experienced SAP IS Retail Subject Matter Expert to lead a long-term engagement in Shanghai. The consultant will drive the implementation, optimization, and support of SAP Retail processes for a major global client. This is a senior, hands-on role requiring deep business process understanding and solution design expertise in SAP IS Retail.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary SME for SAP IS Retail across implementation and rollout phases.
- Lead workshops with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into SAP design.
- Design, configure, and optimize core SAP Retail functions — Article Master, Pricing, Promotions, Assortments, and Store Operations.
- Collaborate with functional and technical teams across SD, MM, FI, POS integration, and Supply Chain modules.
- Ensure end-to-end solution integrity across retail operations and inventory management.
- Provide guidance on localization, data migration, testing, and go-live support.
- Support business transformation initiatives and knowledge transfer to local teams.
Required Skills
- 10+ years of experience in SAP, with 6+ years focused on SAP IS Retail.
- Strong configuration experience in key IS Retail components (Assortment, Listing, Pricing, POS, Promotions).
- Proven experience in full lifecycle implementations and global template rollouts.
- Familiar with integration to SAP CAR, POSDTA, and F&R preferred.
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills; ability to lead workshops independently.
