Mission and Position headline:

The mission of the (Sr.) SHDM Material Planning and Logistics Manager is to lead the daily execution of the site's material planning and logistics operations. This role is responsible for managing the end-to-end flow of materials from suppliers through production to customers, ensuring stability, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness. By overseeing a team in material planning, warehouse management, and customs operations, the manager will uphold an agile, reliable, and compliant supply chain. The key focus is on optimizing inventory levels and logistics costs to directly support the site's operational excellence and business objectives.

Key tasks and responsibilities:


• Lead and oversee all supply chain and logistics operations—including materials planning, production planning, inventory management, warehousing, purchasing, and distribution—to maximize efficiency, reliability, timeliness, and cost-effectiveness across the supply chain.


• Manage the overall supply and logistics budget, monitoring cost performance to optimize resource allocation and spending priorities. Develop and implement demand, supply, and logistics plans to meet targets in areas such as delivery times, inventory turns, warehousing costs, and service levels.


• Maintain and regularly evaluate relationships and contracts with external partners (including material suppliers and 3PL), in collaboration with Procurement, to ensure a reliable supply of quality materials and services that meet standards for cost and on-time delivery.


• Drive and enhance the S&OP process through regular reviews and alignment with internal factories and key suppliers to secure continuous material supply.


• Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to integrate supply chain and logistics strategies with broader business objectives, ensuring alignment with corporate goals.


• Introduce and apply digitalization solutions within logistics and supply chain operations to continuously improve productivity and operational visibility.


• Lead the import/export team to ensure full customs compliance, optimize clearance efficiency, and support timely trade license management.


• Support government relations activities in coordination with SHS GA, ECC, and Logistics teams to foster policy support and facilitate favorable operating conditions for SHDM.


• Lead, coach, and motivate the Material Planning and Logistics team to enhance professional capabilities.


• Drive for continuous improvement and roll out HPS programs in MP&LOG organization with LEAN concept and mindset.


• Other projects or tasks assigned by superior or the Company.

Qualifications and experience:


• At least bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or equivalent certification preferred.


• More than 5 years of experience in material planning /supply chain management of biological and chemical products.


• In-depth understanding of the regulatory environment for IVD/Medical Devices (e.g., GMP, ISO


• Proficiency in MRP/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and strong data analysis skills.


• Solid knowledge of SCM methodologies such as inventory modeling, S&OP, and Lean Manufacturing.


• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.


• Excellent communication skills in both Chinese and English (written and verbal).
