The Impact You'll Make in this role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Process Engineer to Initiates, directs, and leads major technical projects in a manufacturing environment or a specific technology cluster. Takes responsibility for the leadership and coordination of important manufacturing or business cross-functional teams or direct supervision of a small group of technical or non-technical individuals.
Provide process engineering support to manufacturing independently, with emphasis on process improvement and optimization aimed at increasing productivity, enhancing quality and efficiency, improving yield and reducing unit cost.
The Impact You'll Make in this Role
- Initiating, developing, directing, completing and leading innovative projects having major importance to assigned dental solution divison and to Solventum overall. Begins to apply manufacturing technical skills to provide leadership, support, and services, taking into consideration potential global effects. Implements best practices.
- Leads and implements manufacturing programs through activities in one or more of the following areas: a) implementing or modifying technologies to create processes that support business areas; b) implementing innovative solutions to articulated process problems and opportunities; c) serving as plant liaison providing support on processes to suppliers, clients, and/or customers to expand opportunities and reduce risks; and d) developing an awareness of relevant technology clusters
- Initiates, identifies, recommends and oversees programs in the manufacturing area of responsibility to improve: 1) product cost, service, and quality, and/or (2) process safety and health/environmental impact. Leads cross-functional teams involving programs with significant manufacturing emphasis and major business impact. May assist in the development of other technical employees by training, guiding, mentoring, setting an example, and offering counsel
- Leads project planning efforts and may participate in the departmental or division strategic planning
Your Skills And Expertise
- Master's degree or above with major in engineering or other related disciplines.
- 8+ years related working experience in a manufacturing environment;
- Ability to apply related process engineering knowledge and skills to improve process and quality;
- Fluent English communication skill both in written and oral;
- Good PC skills.
Prefer To Have Skills
- Healthcare industry experience is preferred;
- Quality engineering knowledge is preferred;
- Statistical process control knowledge is preferred;
- Related product knowledge is preferred.
