What You Will Be Doing
The
Specialist, Supply Chain Planning
is responsible for managing and executing all processes related to demand planning, supply planning and inventory planning. This key role will be responsible for providing the processes, tools and expertise to bring all departments together to achieve accurate and effective demand planning and execution of production and inventory strategies in Asia Pacific (APAC) regions.

Specialist, Supply Chain Planning Responsibilities

  • Supply Planning
  • Review, develop, and communicate regional, category, and SKU level unit supply plans and raise adequate purchase requisitions
  • Work with production planning teams to ensure feasibility of purchase forecast
  • Minimize out of stock instances to maximize sales
  • Maintain planning system parameters up to date
  • Demand Planning
  • Craft, maintain, and communicate the demand forecast together with Sales, Finance, and Operations for APAC region
  • Take necessary actions to achieve inventory targets for assigned products and locations
  • Contribute to Integrated Business Planning for assigned brands
  • Report on metrics for monthly forecast accuracy, fill rates, projected inventory levels, excess and obsolete, and form action plans to meet and exceed goals
  • Identify continuous improvement projects which address issues with impact beyond supply & demand planning functions

  • Demonstrate continuous improvement mindset to increase forecast accuracy
  • Compare demand forecast to Budget and Revenue Projection and provide insight for achieving target

Skills Needed To Be Successful In This Role

  • Sales, Inventory, and Operations process experience
  • Savvy and experienced in demand and supply planning system
  • Sophisticated presentation of data and refined reporting skills
  • Consistent record of achieving results in a fast-paced growth environment through analysis and collaboration with internal and external relationships
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Demonstrated high level of autonomy and ability to self-start
  • Ability to lead multiple projects in matrix organizations
  • Business and supply chain competence and understanding

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS or BA or BE college degree in a relevant field: mathematics, business, statistics, supply chain analytics, or combination of education and experience in fast moving consumer goods
  • 4 years of experience in Supply Chain Planning
  • Advanced presentation of data and refined reporting skills
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Advanced to Excel Proficiency in Excel; Proficiency in Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • Experience using ERP and MRP systems; Oracle and o9 beneficial
