Job Summary:
As the Director of Ecommerce, you will develop and execute a comprehensive online sales strategy, focusing on growth in China and the APAC region. The ideal candidate has deep expertise with Tmall ecosystems, can lead cross-functional teams, and drives revenue growth while optimizing customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and lead ecommerce strategies, including website development, mobile optimization, and omni-channel integration, annual sales growth.
- Manage online marketing campaigns, including SEO/SEM, social media integration, and content marketing, tracking KPIs (e.g., conversion rates, ROI) and leveraging data analytics for optimization.
- Oversee Tmall and Alibaba ecosystem operations, including store management, promotional campaigns, supply chain integration, and compliance, maximizing platform sales.
- Analyze customer behavior trends using tools like Google Analytics or Tmall backend data to identify growth opportunities and reduce cart abandonment rates.
- Collaborate with IT, marketing, supply chain, and vendors to build partnerships and manage budgets
- Monitor global ecommerce trends (e.g., AI personalization, blockchain supply chain) and apply them to local market strategies.
- Lead team performance evaluations, foster talent development, and drive innovative projects like new platform expansions or cross-border ecommerce.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred;
- 10+ years in ecommerce/online sales, with at least 5 years in a leadership role; must have hands-on Tmall or Alibaba platform experience (e.g., managing Tmall flagship stores, handling Double 11 campaigns).
- Expertise in ecommerce platforms (Tmall, Taobao, Alibaba, Amazon); strong data analytics skills
- Proven leadership in cross-cultural teams; excellent communication and influence skills, with fluency in Chinese and English
- Familiarity with China ecommerce regulations, cross-border logistics, and payment systems
