We're seeking an exceptional and experienced Industry Subject Matter Expert (ISME) – Retail to drive growth and strengthen DP World's presence in the Greater China retail market. In this role, you will bring deep industry knowledge to identify, secure, and retain key customers within the Retail vertical, helping shape tailored, end-to-end supply chain solutions that deliver real business impact.
You will play a pivotal role in high-value sales engagements, translating technical capabilities into practical, customer-centric solutions. Beyond driving commercial success, you will act as a thought leader — representing DP World at industry events, sharing market insights, and contributing to trade marketing and social media initiatives to position DP World as a trusted, innovative partner for the Retail sector.
Key Accountabilities
- Design and innovate
Retail vertical supply chain solutions
, delivering tailored products that address the unique needs of Beneficial Cargo Owners (BCOs). - Partner with Commercial Key Account Management and Sales teams to create tailored supply chain solutions for Retail customers.
 - Collaborate with Solutions Engineers to design, build, and operationalize new supply chain offerings.
 - Engage with relevant industry groups, forums, and key supply chain stakeholders to strengthen DP World's market presence.
 - Identify and qualify potential Retail customers, generating strategic leads and opportunities for the Sales team.
 - Oversee the implementation and performance of Retail vertical solutions, solving challenges to ensure delivery success.
 - Work with Marketing and Sales teams to develop go-to-market strategies, pricing models, sales tools, and impactful campaigns for the Retail sector.
 
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Supply Chain, or related field (or equivalent experience).
 - Proven years' experience in the Retail vertical or related trade sectors.
 - Strong background in freight forwarding and/or supply chain management roles.
 - A blend of technical knowledge, commercial acumen, and project management skills.
 - Strong presentation skills and the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for customers and stakeholders.
 - Excellent consultative selling and relationship management capabilities.
 - Proven skills in customer pipeline planning and business development.
 - Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
 - Demonstrated leadership and collaboration skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
 - Process-driven, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities while staying organized and effective under pressure.
