Key Responsibilities: Project Management
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of automation projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet or exceed established quality standards.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, resource plans, and budget forecasts using project management tools.
- Regularly report project progress to stakeholders, highlighting achievements, risks, and mitigation strategies. Team Leadership
- Manage and mentor a team of automation engineers, including hiring, training, performance evaluation, and career development.
- Foster a positive team environment that encourages innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Set team goals and objectives aligned with the company's strategic vision, and monitor team performance to ensure targets are met. Technical Expertise
- Collaborate with cross - functional departments (PE, IE, mfg, QA etc.) to develop automation solutions that address production requirements and challenges.
- Evaluate and select appropriate automation technologies, equipment, and vendors based on technical specifications, cost - benefit analysis, and business needs.
- Provide technical guidance and support to the engineering team during the design, development, testing, and debugging phases of automation projects. Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities for automation - driven process improvements across the manufacturing operations.
- Implement and monitor automation - related KPIs to measure the effectiveness of automation initiatives and drive continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular reviews of automation systems and processes to ensure they remain aligned with business objectives and industry best practices. Global Collaboration
- Work closely with overseas factories to understand their automation needs and provide technical support and solutions.
- Facilitate knowledge transfer and best practice sharing among global manufacturing sites to ensure consistency and efficiency in automation implementation.
- Address and resolve automation - related issues in overseas factories promptly and effectively. Qualifications: Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred but not required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in automation engineering, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex automation projects in a manufacturing environment. Technical Skills
- In - depth knowledge of automation systems, including robotics, PLC programming, motion control, sensors, and vision systems.
- Proficiency in using automation design software such as SolidWorks, CAD.
