- Source, select, and negotiate with distributors and suppliers for IT products and services.
- Understand and coordinate requirements from departments.
- Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers.
- Negotiate pricing, lead times, and services (delivery, installation, maintenance).
- Assist sales and projects staff with pre-sales and proposal writing.
- Create supplier quotations and issue to sales for customers.
- Issue Purchase Orders upon customer acceptance.
- Track delivery dates and coordinate with suppliers.
- Receipt goods and services against Purchase Orders.
- Maintain accurate purchasing records.
- Assist with internal sourcing activities.
- Collaborate with inside sales teams on procurement needs and strategies.
- Support sales operations with procurement data and insights.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years in inside sales from the IT channel or sales operations roles.
- Experience in IT / telecommunications industry.
- Vendor management experience.
- Knowledge of hardware maintenance contracts and software licensing (especially Microsoft).
- Experience with SFDC and/or NetSuite.
- Fluency in business Japanese and English.
- Customer service mindset.
- Organizational and negotiation skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively with sales teams.
