Your day to day
- Develops and maintains financial models to ensure financial accuracy of information which helps Greater China region and Finance organizations with their budget planning.
- Lead an offshore team to manage the purchase order process and coordinate with cross-functional teams for invoices and payments while increasing forecast accuracy and minimizing compliance risks.
- Lead periodic review of open purchase orders, their expected completion time and invoice schedule along with their yearly/ half-yearly accruals.
- Develop and monitor financial/operational metrics to measure spending efficiency. Communicate these metrics to management, recommend solutions, and find cross-function improvement opportunities.
- Define and identify measures and actions to reduce overdue payables and invoicing/payment disputes.
- Perform tactical interventions with the offshore team to close gaps versus requested requisition and achieve PO delivery
- Support the strategic planning process, formal budget review process, and quarterly forecast review process
- Review weekly/ monthly spending performance reports and commentary for the Greater China region and communicate any risks and opportunities to Finance partners.
- Identify areas of improvement opportunities and lead the implementation process of any new initiative for the Greater China finance team.
What we need from you
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in business, finance, or related field required.
- Can demonstrate external industry knowledge and continuous learning, keeping up to date with current trends
- 5+ years of experience in Finance or Analytics related fields with a proven track record.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and driving change and process improvement.
- Strong relationship management, verbal and written communication, and strategic thinking & analytical skills required.
- Ability to challenge the status quo, and have courage/conviction to 'do the right thing'.
- Ability to see the big picture, but possessing strong analytical/technical skills.
- Ability to sustain high-impact, trusted relationships.
- Able to drive complex system processes and cultural change.
- Able to facilitate innovative approaches for improving systems to support business requirements.
- Strong technical skills (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint)
