About This Position
- The Packaging Technologist is a data-driven role focused on packaging activity management across three critical pillars: data integrity, process efficiency, and compliance/sustainability.
- The candidate must possess strong attention to detail for high data accuracy, analytical thinking to interpret technical and regulatory data, and excellent project coordination skills. Collaboration is key, requiring clear communication with internal and external stakeholders. A background in Packaging Engineering, Materials Science, or Supply Chain is required, along with experience in packaging development or data management and familiarity with dangerous goods regulations and systems like SAP.
What you´ll do
- Packaging Data & Artwork Management.
- Lead the creation and maintenance of regional Packaging Master Data to ensure accuracy and availability.
- Coordinate and execute packaging-related artwork steps across multiple product launches.
- Advise project teams on the selection of standardized packaging components to support efficient launches and minimize complexity.
- Process, Tools, and Master Data Excellence.
- Drive improvements in time-to-market (T2M) by streamlining packaging data processes.
- Ensure proper documentation and support for qualification of new and modified packaging materials.
- Promote harmonized article creation processes (e.g., IPAS).
- Sustainability Support.
- Contribute to regional packaging sustainability programs by ensuring accurate and up-to-date packaging master data.
- Support data gathering and reporting for regulatory and environmental impact metrics.
- Regulatory Compliance.
- Support compliance of packaging and finished goods, with particular focus on dangerous goods regulations and regional requirements.
- Cost Saving & Innovation Enablement.
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to support cost optimization and innovation projects through accurate data and smooth component onboarding.
- Cross-functional Collaboration.
- Work closely with internal departments (e.g., R&D, Supply Chain, Marketing) and suppliers to align packaging component data, artwork, and compliance requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve data flow, reduce errors, and strengthen packaging operational excellence.
What makes you a good fit
- Degree in Packaging Engineering, Materials Science, Supply Chain, or related field.
- Experience in packaging development, data management, or artwork coordination.
- Familiarity with packaging-related regulations, particularly for dangerous goods.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with SAP, PLM systems, or packaging databases is a plus.
- Fluent in English; other languages are an asset.
- Attention to Detail: Ensures high data accuracy and quality in master data and artwork handling.
