*Mission of the Role:
The ME Engineer is tasked with leading Cockpit Domain Controller or Display ME design, delivery the cost competitive solution and robust products with high efficiency.
Key Objectives of this Role:*
- Complete the production of the technical solution based on the customer's RFQ input and output quotation materials like the BOM/2D/3D /Manufacturing feasibility, Etc.
- Review and deliver technical presentation to customer on overall mechanical feasibility technical proposal
- Work with electrical and thermal engineering team to finish the EE layout and thermal data output.
- Interface with development teams to guide design expert reviews in the area of Structure and Manufacturing
- Peer review with other engineer to ensure our design quality
- Alignment on mechanical costs with purchasing & alignment with manufacturing team on make/buy & associated architecture
- Output the delivery on time as required, Such as QBOM,3D,2D, eBOM,DFMEA, SC/CC List, Etc.
- Support the mold design and lead DFM review, follow up the development of the part and optimize product before mass production.
- Participate in the review of ED/DVP test, as well as the resolution of related mechanical problem points during the formal test.
- Identify technical or other issues and drive these to closure by bringing together key stakeholders for decision-making
- Organize, lead and coordinate the associated display and optical engineering activities during the development and the delivery phases, in line with the agreed Cost, Quality and Timing commitments
*Qualification, Experience and Skills:*
- Bachelors (or) Master degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Mechanical Development experience of more than 5 years in vehicle display and ECUs mechanical design
- Skillful at 3D design (CATIA or UG) and Knowledge for 2D drawing (GD&T)
- Expertise in optical and display knowledge
- Expertise in mechanical design, tolerance calculation
- Independently responsible for the mechanical design of 1-2 products in vehicle display or ECU box
- Understand tradeoffs between Electrical, Structural, Vibration, Thermal & cost in order to develop most efficient design solution
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong problem solving skills
- Very strong on organizational, management, project management, communication & presentation skills
