Overview
Synaptics is looking for a dynamic and experienced Director, Sales to lead Core IoT Key Accounts in China. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales efforts with key customers across Synaptics Core-IoT Compute and Wireless Connectivity solutions, including but not limited to, Wireless and Edge AI-related OEMs, ODMs, and their design centers in China. This position reports to the VP, Sales & China Country Manager.
Responsibilities & Competencies
Job Duties
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve or exceed sales targets in the AIoT segment across Great China
- Lead and mentor a high-performing Sales and FAE team, providing coaching, sales training, guidance, and professional development to elevate performance
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers across the AIoT ecosystem
- Collaborate closely with engineering, marketing, and product teams to drive development and launch of new products tailored to customer needs
- Manage multinational and cross-business unit projects to ensure seamless execution
- Forecast sales trends, and build and maintain a strong and organized pipeline
- Track, analyze, and report sales performance regularly to senior management

Qualifications (Requirements)
- Bachelor's or Master's in Electronics Engineering, Business Administration or related field or equivalent
- 15 years of sales experience in semiconductor sales with a strong focus on embedded processors, WiFi, Bluetooth, and GNSS
- Track record of developing, planning and executing sales penetration plans to drive Synaptics solutions into customer platforms
- Highly analytical with strong business acumen, able to transition easily between the strategic and the detailed
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Chinese is a strong advantage
- Travel up to 50% required
